Note to self: if you’re working on plumbing and see any threads anywhere do yourself a favor and just wrap them with teflon tape. Full Stop. The End.
Don’t think it’s necessary? Do it anyways. If you don’t you’ll be wrapping them regardless, but after chasing down minor leaks and disassembling everything like an idiot.
